Workplace Giving to Build a Stronger Brown County

Talent pipeline. Strong workforce. Midwest work ethic. These are traits that make Brown County the envy of many communities yet, if you are like most local organizations, you are hungry for more talent and are eager to keep the employees you have.  

But did you know that in Brown County, there are nearly 40,000 employed households that are on the cusp of not being able to make it to work—perhaps because of a health care setback, inability to get childcare, mental health issues or simply because they do not have transportation?  

That means that right here in Brown County, 1 in 3 households are just one event away from being unable to meet their basic needs. It doesn’t take much to put your workforce in a position that keeps your team members, or those they rely on like caregivers or teachers, from being able to come to work and to thrive.
