Starting in October 2025, Brown County United Way launched the Voices of Brown County project to hear directly from residents. Your experiences help shape how we improve lives, strengthen community systems, and guide policy priorities.

We’re doing this because numbers alone don’t tell the whole story. Listening to real experiences gives us the “why” behind the data and helps us create solutions that truly work for the people they’re meant to serve. Early insights highlight that personal fulfillment, strong social connections, and economic stability are essential for thriving in the community.

To make this happen, our team is connecting with residents through community conversations, quick surveys, and learning sessions with volunteers and partners. We’ll offer incentives like gift cards, giveaways, and light meals to make participation easy and rewarding.

We’re committed to making these conversations meaningful, inclusive, and collaborative. That means hosting them in welcoming spaces and working with local partners to build trust and engagement.

Our focus is on residents living at or below the ALICE® Threshold, nearly one in three households in Brown County. Communities with the highest rates include Green Bay, Denmark, Pulaski, Ashwaubenon, and De Pere.

Stay tuned for more information as we continue this work. Join the conversation by taking this 2-minute survey, and make your voice heard!
