Sweepstakes Rules

Sponsored by Brown County United Way (the “Sponsor”), 112 N Adams Street, Green Bay, WI 54301. NO DONATION NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. DONATION WILL NOT IMPROVE CHANCES OF WINNING. 
  1. This Sweepstakes begins on June 01, 2017 and ends at 4:30 p.m. Central Time on January 31, 2018. Participants must be legal residents of Wisconsin and at least 18 years of age to be eligible for the prize.
  2. 50 winners, plus a guest, will receive a dinner at Lambeau Field with current Green Bay Packers. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
  3. Any Brown County United Way donor who makes a gift will receive the below amount of entries based on donation amount and current donor status:

    NEW DONORS
    Gift range: $50 – $249 = 1 entry
    Gift range: $250 – $499 = 2 entries
    Gift range: $500 – $999 = 3 entries
    Gift range: $1000 + = 5 entries

    EXISTING DONORS WHO MAINTAIN THEIR GIFT OR INCREASE (NO DECREASE)
    Gift range: $50 – $249 = 1 entry
    Gift range: $250 – $499 = 2 entries
    Gift range: $500 – $999 = 3 entries
    Gift range: $1000 + = 5 entries
    Bonus: For every $100 increase over 2016 gift, additional 1 entry

    Only individuals/families are eligible for the Sweepstakes; organizations are not eligible. First time gifts must be received within the Sweepstakes dates in order to be eligible.

  4. Entry without donation can also be made by sending a letter with proper postage to Brown County United Way, Attn: Drawing, 112 N Adams Street, Green Bay, WI 54301, containing name, age, address and phone number. Only one entry, via mail, per household. Entries void if incomplete or not legible. All submissions become the property of the Sponsor.
  5. The Pledge Form or Entry Letter must be returned to the Sponsor by 4:30 p.m. Central Time on January 31, 2017. Sponsor will not be responsible for companies that fail to submit their employees’ pledge forms or any other lost submissions by this date.
  6. The potential winner of the sweepstakes will be drawn (randomly) from all valid entries on or about February 8, 2017. The potential winner will be required to provide proper photo identification and verification of compliance with these Rules prior to award of the prize. If the potential winner does not meet these eligibility requirements or is not in compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected.
  7. Employees of the Sponsor and members of their immediate families are not eligible to participate.
  8. By entering, all participants hereby agree to comply with these Rules, represent that he/she is eligible, consent to the use of his/her name and/or photograph for publicity purposes without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. All entrants release Sponsor, Green Bay Packers and their employees, directors, officers and agents, parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, advertising, fulfillment, publicity and promotion agencies from any and all claims or liability in connection with their participation in this promotion. Entrants agree to hold harmless Sponsor, Green Bay Packers and their parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, agencies, officers, directors and employees from responsibility for damages, losses or injuries, including death, personal injury or property damage, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this promotion or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize.
  9. The prize may not be substituted by the winner for any other prize or cash equivalent. In the event of prize unavailability, the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned.
  10. Winners will be required to pay any costs and other applicable taxes and costs relating to the transactions, including, but not limited to, federal and state income taxes.
  11. Participation in this promotion may affect the tax deductibility of your gift. You should consult your tax advisor for more detailed information.
  12. The name of the prize winner will be announced at the Sponsor’s Annual Meeting on or around February 25, 2018 .
  13. Ensuring the Integrity of the Drawing Entries

    Those individuals that qualify for the drawing are automatically and systematically (not manually) entered into the drawing as their pledges are processed. Participating public sector campaigns do provide individual donor information, which is audited, so public sector qualifiers can be assured they will be included and there is little room for human error. Companies, who do not typically provide individual pledge information, may submit a list of those employees who have qualified. Those names are added to the data base of automatic qualifiers. Additionally, those people who submitted an entry outside of the automatic qualification process are also entered into the data base.
    Two separate database pulls of qualified entries will be conducted by Brown County United Way CFO for Sponsor, and compared to ensure everyone’s inclusion prior to the drawing. The final list of names is then scrambled by the computer so they are not in alphabetical order and each name is assigned a random number. Three numbers from the total assigned field of numbers are chosen and the three finalists of the drawing are the individuals blindly assigned by the computer to those numbers.  A person, not employed by Sponsor, will choose one of the three finalists at random during the Sponsor’s Annual Meeting on or around February 25, 2018 as the winner.
    Although Sponsor can not publish the list of all those who qualify, if an Employee Campaign Coordinator requests a list of their company qualifiers, Sponsor can provide it prior to the drawing, but after all pledges received by January 31, 2018 have been processed.
