Volunteer Spotlight - Micki Koehler
Micki Koehler has been an active volunteer with Brown County United Way since 1997 and in 2000, was one of the “poster girls” for our campaign materials. Through the years, Micki has held many roles with United Way, she has been Chair of the Health Panel, a member of the Advisory Council for the Emerging Leaders Society and is the current Chair of the Youth Development Impact Council. Micki has also volunteered her time to the Multi-Year Funding Committee, the Non-Discrimination Policy Committee and the Community Response Fund. She has acted as a Jefferson School Adopter, a volunteer for Junior Achievement, a tutor, and has coordinated a pen pal program for 3 rd – 5 th graders. Overall, Micki provides excellent leadership in everything she is involved in and we are grateful to have such a volunteer.
Volunteer Spotlight - Pat Staszak
Born and raised in De Pere, Pat is the youngest of 4 siblings. Pat tries to strike a balance in his life between family, work, and giving back to the community. He says, "I believe that giving back to the community where you live is an important aspect of a strong healthy community."
Pat was the 2004 United Way "loaned employee" for his employer Wisconsin Public Service Resources Corporation. He currently serves as the chair for the newly created Community Access and Resources Impact Council, serves on a council with the Lac Baie Girl Scouts, and is a member of the Advisory Board for Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Supervisory Management program. Pat has been with WPS for over 18 years.
Pat and his wife, Lori, have 3 children. They spend most of their family time together close to the water or at a nearby cottage on the bay of Green Bay.
Pat's philosophy is, "As the youngest of four I always observed my parents giving back to the community, and I feel a real passion to be able to help out and show my children by example the importance of giving back to the community."
Volunteer Spotlight - Randy Johnson
Except for his time in the US Army during which he served in Vietnam, Randy has been a resident of Brown County for all his 57 years. He and Julie Ann, his wife of 35 years, have two married daughters, each of whom have a daughter of their own.
WPS Resources Corporation has been Randy’s employer for 35 years. For the past 15 years Randy has worked in the area of quality, change, leadership and transformation.
Randy and Julie Ann have been very active in the community and their church. Randy served on the Ashwaubenon School Board and is currently president of the Optimists.
Randy is serving as this years campaign chair. He is also on the board of directors, executive board and the Resource Development Division and participates in the United Way’s transformation process.
Randy has strong feelings about the value of collaboration, community, and identifying and using the strengths of everyone. He is grateful for the opportunity that WPS Resources and the United Way have given him to serve.
