2006 Brown County United Way Health and Hygiene Drive

Collection from June 5 - July 14

The United Way Health and Hygiene Drive collects basic need items - shampoo, baby wipes, toothpaste, etc. - and distributes them to people who can't afford them. These items are especially important because they cannot be purchased with food stamps.

Health & Hygiene Drive

Quick Facts

  • This yEAR'S Health and Hygiene Drive collected almost 12,000 items, from deodorant to toothpaste, for people who could not otherwise afford them.
  • The items collected by the H & H Drive cannot be purchased with food stamps.
  • This year, more than 50 local businesses and human care agencies hosted Health & Hygiene collection boxes, from June 5 to July 14.
  • United Parcel Service, ASPIRO and Pieschek Protective Services donated their staff and vehicles to pick up the items from July 17 – 21.
  • All items are being warehoused at Leicht Transfer & Storage until August 1, free of charge.
  • Brown County agencies will pick up the items on July 31 and will distribute the items to those who need them throughout the year
  • Last year, 28 agencies distributed health and hygiene items.
