Metro Boat Launch
102 Bay Beach Road
Green Bay, WI
The City of Green Bay offers a major boat launching facility located at the mouth of the Fox River. Access to the boat launch is via Bay Beach Road, approximately ¾ of a mile west of Bay Beach Amusement Park. Metro Boat Launch offers ten lanes for launching boats and one large holding pier for short-term (10 minutes) boat docking. Restrooms and a pay phone are available at the comfort station located just north of the launch lanes. As part of the comfort station, the Green Bay Metropolitan Sewerage District operates an education center that highlights the Fox River and lower bay ecosystem.
Daily Launch Passes are available at all launch locations for $5.00 and are good only for the date purchased and only at that facility.
Annual Pass is $30.00 which includes 5 1/2% Wisconsin sales tax. This pass is good at all launch areas operated by Brown County Park Department, City of Green Bay, and City of De Pere. The annual pass is valid through the current calendar year.
The Annual Launch Pass must be permanently affixed to the backside of the trailer winch post. If the design of your trailer prohibits the clear view of the sticker, place the sticker on the left side of the winch post in a visible location. Stickers not permanently affixed or not displayed properly are invalid and may result in a fine being issued.
Commercial Vehicles Pass is $60.00. Commercial dealers may purchase one additional sticker for $5.00.
Second Stickers: One additional sticker can be purchased for $5.00 for a second trailer only if both boats are registered to the same person. A registration receipt from the first sticker and proof of ownership of both boats is required. Third sticker cost is $30.00.
Replacement Sticker: If you sell or transfer ownership of the trailer, a $5.00 replacement sticker can be obtained by removing the old sticker from the trailer and returning it to the location where it was purchased. You must return the old sticker to receive a replacement. If the sticker is unavailable to you, you must contact the Brown County Facility and Park Office to verify the original purchase and sign a form stating the old sticker is not in use.
Canoes, Kayaks and all other vessels without trailers can affix the sticker directly to the vessel or rear bumper on drivers side of the vehicle.
Fees from the sale of launch passes are used to improve boating facilities throughout Brown County.
