Eligibility:		For the Presumptive Eligibility Program, the applicant must be pregnant and have an income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines established for their household size. For Family Planning Medical Assistance, the applicant must be female, a resident of Wisconsin, have an income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines established for their household size, be between the ages of 15-44, and be in need of a contraceptive method.

Program/Service Description:
The Presumptive Eligibility Program provides eligible clients with temporary medical assistance cards. These cards can be used for a short time while a more in-depth application is being processed through other local agencies. The objective of the Presumptive Eligibility Program is to provide clients with reproductive health care, including early access into prenatal care. If they meet income criteria, they are immediately issued a temporary medical assistance card. Their applications must be further screened by other local agencies. The applicant can be issued a medical assistance card that has a longer eligibility time. All clients receiving a positive pregnancy test who have no health insurance are offered screening for presumptive eligibility. All clients in need of reproductive healthcare and contraceptives, including emergency contraceptives, who meet financial guidelines and do not have access to or have limited healthcare coverage, will be offered screening and presumptive eligibility for medical assistance.
