Program/Service Description:
The Reproductive Health Screening Program provides reproductive healthcare and family planning (birth control). This includes reproductive health examinations, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted infection testing and treatment, follow-up, preconceptional care, and all methods of federally approved birth control. Most participants receive free or very low-cost services. NEWCAP clinics are staffed by Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and support staff. They provide examinations, educational information, methods of contraception, referrals, and follow-up. Arrangements to receive contraceptives by mail, including emergency contraception, can be made by calling any of the offices.
