Program/Service Description:
If you are currently receiving rental assistance or are eligible to receive it, you can now use your Housing Choice Voucher toward a mortgage payment for your own home. You must attend one of the monthly Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership information seminar, have an initial consultation with Neighborhood Housing Services, talk to a lender about pre-approval for a mortgage and other home purchase programs, contact Integrated Community Services when the mortgage is ready, begin looking for a house, and once a home is found, Integrated Community Services must give approval.
