Program/Service Description:
The Guardianship Support Center Hot Line answers questions concerning guardianship, protective placement, advance directives, and abuse. Examples of questions are: is a Power of Attorney for Health Care document from another state valid in Wisconsin? how do I become my mother's guardian? how do I report my concern that my neighbor is being neglected or abused?. When you call, you will be routed to voice mail; leave your name, telephone number and a short description of your concern. You can also write to or email the Guardianship Support Center. Some one will contact you about your question. A free newsletter is also available. Contact the Support Center to be placed on the mailing list. A variety of publications on guardianship and advance directives are available at www.cwag.org/legal/guardian-support.
