Program/Service Description:
Those persons who participate in Project Lifesaver wear a personalized wristband that emits a tracking signal. When a caregiver notifies local law enforcement that the person is missing, a search and rescue team responds using a mobile locator tracking system. There is an initial enrollment fee to cover cost of equipment installation and set-up. There is also a modest monthly fee for use of equipment. Payments can be directly billed or charged to a credit card. Open to people with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias who have a potential for wandering.
