Program/Service Description:
SeniorCare is Wisconsin's prescription drug assistance program for people who are age 65 or older and meet eligibility requirements. SeniorCare makes prescription medication affordable to older adults who otherwise would not be able to pay for their medicine. There is an out-of-pocket expense requirement depending on annual income. There are different expense requirements and benefits based on your income and your spouse's income, if your spouse lives with you. A pre-application guide to determine eligibility is available at the web site as well as the application and other pertinent information. People who receive Medicaid are not eligible for SeniorCare since Medicaid provides a reduction of Medicare Part D costs.
