Community Partners

The Brown County 2-1-1 partnership is a best-practice model that serves many communities, bringing together knowledge and expertise to combine multiple databases into a single source for help. Please take a moment to read about each collaborator and familiarize yourself with what they do for the people of Brown, Door and Kewaunee Counties.

Aging & Disability Resource Center of Brown County (ADRC)

The Aging and Disability Resource Center is a key resource for older adults and adults with disabilities.  Adults 60 years and older, adults with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, mental health and alcohol and drug use issues are the target populations they serve.  Staff is available for private, confidential options counseling with consumers and their families/friends.  Information and Assistance, options counseling and decision support are offered to assist consumers to remain as independent as possible for as long as possible.  The ADRC also provides functional eligibility screening for the long term care programs in the county.

Family Services Crisis Center

The Crisis Center of Family Services provides professional, short-term counseling, 24 hours a day, for people of all ages in Brown, Shawano, or Sheboygan Counties.  Counseling services are available for nearly any situation you or your loved ones may be facing.  Crisis Center staff handles situations such as suicide, stress management, relationship issues, grief and loss, parent/child conflicts, and much more.

HELP of Door County, Inc.

HELP of Door County, Inc. (HELP) established in 1979 provides primary prevention and intervention services to victims of domestic abuse.  HELP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency serving Door County, Wisconsin.  Program services to victims of domestic abuse include intervention case management, legal advocacy, women & children’s educational and support group, Transitional Living Program, Emergency Victim Assistance, Visitation & Exchange Program, community outreach, and a 24-hour domestic abuse crisis hotline. No fees are charged for services to victims of domestic abuse.

Brown County United Way (BCUW)

Living United means inspiring hope. But even more than that, it represents a coordinated system of care and assessment that is unique in Brown County.  Hundreds of volunteers LIVE UNITED by offering their time to assess and address needs in Brown County by bringing together area experts to help guide the way; by leveraging experience to make informed funding decisions about critical programs and by finding the most efficient solutions to address the entire continuum of our community needs.

Brown County United Way 2-1-1

5 2-1-1 is a universally recognizable number that makes a critical connection between individuals and families seeking services or volunteer opportunities.  2-1-1 makes it possible for people to navigate the complex and ever-growing maze of the more than 1,700 health and human services resources through three options: The call center, a website and a 2-1-1 PLUS site (a physical place to access 2-1-1), available throughout Brown County.
