Program/Service Description:
Family Court mediation is a service that provides a neutral third party to help parents come to a joint co-parenting agreement on one or more of the following issues: * Legal Custody - the right to have input in major decisions * Physical Placement - scheduling periods of time with the child/children by each parent or grandparent * Movement beyond 150 miles or out of state - the development of a parenting plan when one parent moves. Mediation is an alternative to the court system that is sensitive to the needs of both parents and the children. Mediation encourages the parents to retain control of the decisions made on behalf of their children.
