Program/Service Description:
The Miracle League of Green Bay is a non-profit organization that provides children with physical or mental challenges, ages 4 to 19, an opportunity to play baseball, regardless of capabilities. Games are played in the summer (June - August) at the specially designed, rubber surface Resch Miracle Field and the Favre Family Miracle Recreation Area at Allouez Optimist Park in Allouez, WI. Large numbers of volunteers are needed to be "Buddies" for a child for each season. Umpires, public address announcers, and concession stand helpers are also needed. Contributions are welcome to sponsor a child or to financially support the program including planned, handicap accessible additions to the playground area.
