Eligibility:		At-risk youth (as defined by the State of Wisconsin) ages 16 years 9 months through 18. Cadets must be free of drugs, mentally and physically healthy, not on probation and not be awaiting sentencing, be convicted of, or have charges pending for a felony.
Fees Charges:		Free, funded by the Dept. of Defense and the State of Wisconsin.
Intake Process:		Call to inquire, applications may be obtained directly from the program office. A completed application form is needed.

Program/Service Description:
The ChalleNGe Academy is a residential program committed to improving the quality of life for Wisconsin's teens. It is located between the two cities of Sparta and Tomah in Western Wisconsin at Fort McCoy. The academy is available to at-risk teens sixteen and nine months through eighteen years . Habitual high school truants are offered an opportunity to obtain an HSED (High School Equivalency Diploma) and to change their lives in a positive manner. Why should one attend? To make positive changes in life, obtain an HSED, learn necessary job skills, and develop character.
