Program/Service Description:
St. Vincent WholeHealth helps individuals achieve good health through a wide range of traditional and holistic approaches to health and wellness. One of the services WholeHealth offers is an early intervention arthritis program. Early therapeutic intervention for people with arthritis can prevent or slow down joint deterioration, possibly prevent any future joint replacements, reduce pain and joint stiffness, maximize physical and emotional capabilities and improve quality of life. The plan of care is individualized but may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, aquatic therapy in a warm water pool, and education about lifestyle changes.
