Program/Service Description:
The Center for Wound Care and Hyperboric Medicine is located on the second floor of St. Vincent Hospital. A team of specialists, which includes a physician, nurse practitioner, registered nurses, dietitian, social worker and physical therapists, treat patients with chronic or hard-to-heal wounds as well as provide services for those considering or who have an ostomy. A physician's referral is needed. Hyperboric oxygen therapy is also available for qualified patients and is covered by Medicare and most insurance.
