Program/Service Description:
This Senior Program is similar to a senior center in that it provides opportunities for older adults, age 50 and older, to socialize and have companionship. There are daily activities to choose from including bus trips, exercise programs, bridge club and the opportunity to attend a social event in other communities. There is a bus outing twice monthly for grocery shopping, banking and then out for lunch. You may sign up for the weekly outing as needed or be a routine rider. There is an east side and a west side route. There is a monthly newsletter that lists upcoming events and where the weekly bus outing will be going. May consider someone who is disabled to utilize the grocery shopping program provided the person is independent and able to get on and off the bus alone. It is best to call The Salvation Army first and discuss the case.
