Program/Service Description:
Port Plaza Towers is a Federally subsidized housing complex for people age 62 or older or who have a disability. Must meet income limitations which are as follows: one person, very low income, $22,600 and low income, $36,200; two people, very low, $25,850 and low, $41,350. Rent is 30 per cent of adjusted gross income. Security deposit is one month's rent. The front door is secured. There are pull cords in the apartments and laundry facilities are available. There is an on site service coordinator. There are 146 units with six of them being handicapped accessible. It is a congregate meal site, serving meals at noon time. Reservations are required one day in advance for the meal. Air conditioning is also available.
