Program/Service Description:
The goal of NEWCAP is to provide direct services to low income people and provide information and assistance about where services may be obtained. These services include Community Access services such as food pantries, homestead credit, Judicare, emergency food and shelter, and heating assistance; Community Health Services; Employment Assistance and Training Services; Energy Services such as weatherization; Housing Services such as Section 8 registration vouchers; and other special programs. NEWCAP serves Oconto, Brown, Shawano, Menominee, Langlade, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Marinette, and Vilas counties. Not all of the services are available in all of the counties.
