Program/Service Description:
This area includes programs providing employment assistance by training and strengthening a person's work skills and abilities. These programs include: Work Emphasis Program which is a work based program providing non-competitive employment and social and recreational activities. The program is designed for people with severe developmental disability or physical disability; Work Adjustment Training which is a treatment/training process utilizing counseling and concurrent work activities to assist individuals in understanding requirements and demands of work; Extended Employment which provides transitional, non-competitive, sheltered employment opportunities to clients. In addition, case management, social services, vocational counseling and personal adjustment services are provided in order to maximize client's vocational potential and enhance their overall community life.
