Program/Service Description:
To complete an application by telephone or online you will need: social security number, personal identification number (PIN) that you make up before applying, Wisconsin driver's license number, names of everyone for whom you worked in the past 18 months including address, telephone number, reason you are no longer working there, and your first and last dates of work, alien registration number if applicable, and the name and local number of your union hall if a union member. Apply by telephone or online. Applications can be made on Sunday, 9:00am to 5:00pm; Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 7:00pm and Saturday, 9:00am to 2:30pm. Claims specialists are available to answer questions Monday through Friday, 7:45am to 4:30pm at the following telephone numbers: Madison, 608-232-0824; Milwaukee, 414-438-7713; Toll free, 800-494-4944. You must call every week to file for a benefit check. To file in Madison call, 608-261-9990; Milwaukee, 414-438-5395; Toll free, 800-978-7887. The hours to file weekly claims are Sunday, 9:00am to midnight' Monday through Friday, 1:00am to midnight; Saturday, 1:00am to 3:00pm. You will receive your first check with in two weeks of applying.
