Eligibility:		A person that is on Medicaid at the time of death may be eligible for burial assistance. No other financial resources can be available to cover the cost of the burial. The category of Medicaid must be approved by the state.

Program/Service Description:
Financial help to pay for burial and funeral costs for an individual on a category of Medicaid approved by the state if no other financial resources are available. If the family pays up front for the services, the county will not pay. Funeral bill must be under $3,500, county will pay $1,500. Cemetery or crematorium bill must be under $3,500, county will pay $1,500.
