Aurora Visiting Nurse Association of Wisconsin is a home health care agency that provides medical services to the community. Services include: RN, LPN, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), physical, occupational, speech therapies, in-home IV therapy, respiratory care, hospice care, assistance with housekeeping and bathing, respite care, Social Worker, homemaker assistance, chore service and a dietician. Available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, and private insurance for payment. Costs are as follows: RN--$123/visit; Nursing--$58/hour; Certified Nursing Assistant--$20/hour; home health aide--$50/visit; physical, speech and occupational therapies--$136/visit. No hourly minimum.
The agency also provides a service called Lifeline which is an emergency response system. When you need help, you push a button you are wearing which activates a communicator. The communicator will alert a trained person that you need help. The person will then alert a nearly friend, relative, or neighbor that help is needed. There is a one-time installation fee for the communicator plus a monthly monitoring fee. Reduced fees are available for anyone through the VNA Foundation for those who qualify. Also, for those who have been on the COP waiting list for over a year, fees for Lifeline are waived. Responders are available in Hmong and Spanish. also available through Lifeline is Med Monitor, which is a taped message that verbally reminds individuals to take medication on time.
Another service is Home Telemonitoring. It can check daily weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen saturation and provides written reports to the doctor via the telemonitoring staff. also available is the Lifeline programmable telephone with reminder and emergency response capabilities. Six reminder messages can be programmed into the telephone for daily, weekly, or monthly reminders to take medication, etc. The cost is the same as the regular Lifeline unit and the fee waiver for those on the COP waiting list applies.
Also available is the private pay MD2 system that automatically dispenses medications at home. Cost is $99/month.
