Program/Service Description:
Programs: 1. Ashwaubenon Preschool and Parent Learning (APPL) - provides an opportunity for parent and child to interact in a preschool program and includes a parent education program. 2. Dad's Night Out - encourages Dad and children to participate in theme related events, which include reading stories, games, and activities. 3. Home Visits - family literacy focus; visit families who qualify for Title 1 services to promote family literacy and encourage parent involvement in their child's education 4. Parenting series- Parenting classes offered throughout the year on various parenting topics. Examples include divorce, school, and discipline 5. Brown bag parenting series once a month, topics regarding parent education 6. Diversity play groups for preschool children 7. Parent's Day Out - Provides opportunity for preschool children to play while mom or dad have the morning to themselves 8. The Grand Event - Encourages children and grandparents to participate in theme-related event which includes reading stories, games and activities.
