Program/Service Description:
Heaven’s Touch Ministry assists pregnant or single parenting women with children in four primary ways: • Housing - assisting women with rent and/or security deposit; also furniture, household items, clothing as available • Parenting - Teaching parenting skills (this is done by referral to other agencies) • Education - Assist women in getting their GED, HSED and/or other continuing education (clients referred to other agencies) • Employment - assist clients obtain employment by helping them with resumes, interviews, transportation to/from appointments, business attire for job environment, financial planning & budgeting. Other ways of assisting women include collaboration with community resources to obtain child care, nutrition, medical assistance. The goal of Heaven's Touch Ministry is to instill in women with hope, love, and support to assist them in breaking the cycle of making poor life decisions and instilling proper moral, ethical and community values. Women are given proper role models to help them achieve a level of courage, confidence, and character that will enable them to be an asset to the community.
