Program/Service Description:
A LBGTQ (Lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgender and straight) youth group that provides mentoring and companionship. The Rainbow Gathering Youth Group provides GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender) youth and their allies (ages 14-20) a safe space to meet and to engage in discussion with their peers, and enjoy support, companionship, and education. Ongoing individual leadership development is encouraged while developing personal and group allies by networking with other area organizations. A little fun is thrown into the mix to encourage creativity and the group's social growth. Regular ongoing meeting times give GLBT youth and their allies the chance to learn and grow, while dealing with the issues and challenges they face.
