Program/Service Description:
The Parent/Teacher Centers are special collections of library resources for parents, teachers, childcare professionals, grandparents, home schooling families, and other adults who care about young children. The resources include books, DVDs, audios, magazines, community information and more. Examples of topics to be found in the Parent/Teacher Centers include: Child development, manners, behavior, discipline, sleeping through the night, ideas for fun family activities, new baby brother or sister, potty training, resources and ideas for early childhood educators and elementary teachers, pre-literacy and early learning, starting at birth, nutrition and "fussy eaters," pregnancy, helping your child do well in school, dealing with divorce, grief/loss, helping children learn to read or read better, child mental and physical health/special needs, planning story times, crafts
