Program/Service Description:
Macht Village Programs (MVP) is a totally individualized community-based program for children with severe emotional disturbance. The children we work with have severe behavioral and communication problems. Frequently the behavioral problems are directly related to information processing deficits. Our approach is to determine what it will take to make the child, family, and school safe and successful. This program follows children, ages 6-18 years old. Staff work with children who are at high risk of residential treatment because they have severe emotional disturbances. They follow children and families that are at high risk for out of home placement. MVP provides structured programming and 24 hour crisis coverage. 24-hour crisis supervision is available as an alternative to hospitalization.
