Program/Service Description:
The YWCA provides early childhood programs including daycare, pre school, enrichment classes and summer camp. All daycare children participate in learn-to-swim classes in the YWCA warm water pools and may elect to enroll in supplemental in-house classes in dance, movement and other subjects. The YWCA daycare program is curriculum based and uses a small room environment for groups of children. The pre school program stresses the needs and individuality of each child. Children learn decision making skills, independence, self-discipline, and respect for others. Classes include different themes and activities designed for the age and learning abilities of the child.
