Program/Service Description:
A free telephone relay service for anyone who has a hearing loss, is deaf, or speech impaired. In order to to use the service, callers must have a text telephone or a device that allows people to read telephone conversations on a screen and type a response on a keyboard. The devices are available at no cost to low income people through the Telecommunication Equipment Program. You can also dial 711 for the quickest way to connect to the relay system. Also see Hamilton Internet Relay service that allows people who cannot hear and/or speak to use the internet as a tool to communicate with any standard telephone user, voice carry over, or hearing carry over.
