Program/Service Description:
New Eyes for the Needy is a national organization that will pay for single or bifocal eyeglasses for individuals who are vision impaired and unable to pay for them. Income needs to be at or below the US poverty guideline to be eligible. Apply for a voucher directly from New Eyes. Present the voucher to the place where you wish to purchase your glasses. The place then mails the voucher to New Eyes for direct payment and must cooperate with the program and accept the price guidelines as full payment. The client does not pay anything. New Eyes does not pay for eye examinations. Call for further information.
