Program/Service Description:
Physical therapy is a medically prescribed service for the treatment of people who have an injury or disability. Therapists use a variety of physical agents during the rehabilitation process such as heat, cold, water, traction, electricity, massage, therapeutic exercises and other therapeutic inventions. A licensed physical therapist evaluates and outlines a plan of treatment which is carried out by the physical therapist or a physical therapy assistant under the direction of the physical therapist. Services are initiated with a physician's order.
