Program/Service Description:
This program provides supervision and activities for elderly and people with a physical disability who may be frail or isolated. It is designed to provide respite care or relief to caregivers who are caring for someone in their home. It is a state certified adult day care center. An assessment is completed first to determine eligibility. People recovering in a nursing home can become eligible as plans are made for release/discharge from the nursing home. This program is coordinated by a registered nurse. Personal care assistance can be provided for bathroom needs and activities of daily living. Foot care, bathing services, meals & transportation available for additional fees. Foot exams, provided by licensed nurses, include: nail trim and lanolin massage to treat dry and cracked feet, both feet checked for signs of infection, ulceration or other problems.
