Program/Service Description:
The Driving Pre-Screen is intended to evaluate within a clinic setting the skills required for driving. A physician's order is required before the evaluation is conducted. Impaired drivers will be evaluated and assessed for hand/eye coordination, range of motion, ability to concentrate on two situations at one time, reaction time, and cognitive processing. The evaluation will also assess the need for adaptive equipment. No specific day or time is set aside for the evaluation which takes about one hour to complete. The pre-screen is open to the public. Referrals may be made to the Department of Transportation for an on road testing. Call to arrange an appointment.
