Program/Service Description:
The function of the navigator is to assist people with a developmental disability to access and navigate the complex provisions of various programs that impact their ability to gain, return to, or retain employment. The navigator also develops relationships with employers to facilitate job placements for persons with disabilities. The navigator is also available to employers to acquaint them with the options and resources available to assist them in accommodating employees with disabilities. This may be done through site visits, training or through technology expos targeted to employers.
