Program/Service Description:
Moraine Ridge is a housing apartment complex for people age 55 and older. There are 101 units which include 20 subsidized units by HUD. Income must be below $21,650 for one person or $24,750 for two people to qualify for a subsidized unit. Rent is $610 to $750 for a subsidized unit. Monthly rent for the other apartments depends on the size of the apartment and can range from $635 to $1,310/month. Included in the rent is housecleaning once a month (non HUD only). Included in all apartment rent is cable TV, trips in a van, free laundry facilities on each floor and continental breakfast. Other amenities include: barber and beauty shop, banking, woodworking shop, 24 hour emergency communication system, a secure monitored entrance, laundry facilities on each floor,scheduled activities, library, internet, country store, and game rooms. Cats and dogs are allowed with an extra deposit required on $500. Sewer and water included in the rent. Heated garage is $31.65/month. Fourteen evening suppers per month are included in the rent of non subsidized units. Twelve hot breakfasts and complimentary continental breakfast Monday through Friday. Dinner is available Monday through Friday for $6.50 to $9.90. Some apartments have a walk-in shower.
