Program/Service Description:
The HousingChoice Voucher program is designed to help individuals and families living on a limited income afford a private housing unit. An application for the assistance is required. There is a waiting list that is 3 months in Brown County. A background check is done for anyone applying; those passing the criminal background check are placed on a waiting list. Each housing unit occupied by an enrolled household is inspected upon enrollment.
