Program/Service Description:
Good People LLC is a home health care service placing live-in caregivers in care recipients' homes. Service includes: 1) assistance with personal needs such as ambulation, transfers, bathing, toileting, dressing and meal preparation, 2) housekeeping & homemaker assistance, and 3) companionship. Major hallmarks of the program include: one-on-one care (no shifts), personality match, pay directly to the caregiver and back up by Good People (immediate substitutes or replacements for the caregiver if needed). The service is available throughout the state of Wisconsin. The program is flexible--Good People matches all home care needs while working closely with family members, social workers, discharge planners, case managers and hospice workers. The first step is an evaluation and an assessment interview to determine specifically what type of care is needed by the client. There are no fees and no obligation with this part of the procedure. If you wish to use Good People's services, there is a one-time finder's fee paid to Good People. Up to seven days are required to find and match a caregiver to the care receiver. Caregivers are reimbursed with room and board, weekly payment, and two days off every other weekend. To ensure quality care is delivered, the placement is monitored for a month, and Good People maintain contact with the families afterwards.
