Program/Service Description:
The Senior Statesmanship Program continues to bring older adults throughout Wisconsin to Madison to get a first hand look at government processes and state agencies. The participants learn about state government and the role they can play in forming public policy and shaping legislation to improve the quality of life for themselves and others. They visit the capitol, state agencies, the Supreme Court, attend hearings or floor sessions and visit their own legislators to discuss the issues.
