Program/Service Description:
The Assistive Technology Center provides assessments, equipment trials and training opportunities to those who require an alternative communication set up due to a physical disability and/or cognitive challenges. Services are offered to those who have spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, brain injury, cerebral palsy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and others. The center also provides assessments, equipment trials and training to individuals needing an alternative means to access home or business computers. A loan closet of augmentative devices for those who have lost functional verbal skills is available through the center as well.
