Program/Service Description:
A Board on Aging and Long Term Care Ombudsman serves as an advocate to protect and promote the rights of long term care consumers age 60 and older. Serving residents in nursing homes or assisted living facilities, and consumers on the Community Options Program or Family Care, an Ombudsman investigates complaints with a goal of problem resolution. The Ombudsman is a resource to anyone with questions about long term care and works with residents, families and facilities to improve the quality of life for long term care consumers.
