Eligibility:

    

A child is eligible once it is determined he/she has a diagnosed condition which will likely result in developmental delays. A child is also eligible if it is determined that he/she has a developmental delay of 25% in one or more of the following areas: cognition, physical/motor, communication, social/emotional, adaptive behavior/self-help, or if the Early Intervention team determines the child has atypical development.

Fees Charges:

    

Services are funded through insurance benefits, medical assistance, county, state and federal funds. Parents may incur a cost based on the Parental Cost Share system which is determined by family size and family income.

Program/Service Description:
Early Intervention also known as Birth-3 provides education, therapy, and supportive services for children birth to three years of age who have a developmental delay or disability. The program staff support the family in meeting their child's developmental needs. Information, assistance and coordination of services within the community is provided to the families. Based on the individual needs of a child and family the following services may be provided in your home or community setting: developmental evaluation, early childhood education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and service coordination.
