Program/Service Description:
The American Foundation of Counseling Services has provided counseling and consultation to the community since 1965. We also have had a long history of providing care to clergy and congregations throughout Northeastern Wisconsin. We strive to provide the highest quality services to all individuals, regardless of their insurance coverage or ability to pay. Additionally, we are attentive to spiritual dynamics and we will work to assist clients in integrating their faith into the healing process. All of our therapists are state-licensed and from a wide-range of experiences. Learn more about the outpatient counseling program and the types of services that our counselors specialize in providing by visiting www.americanfoundationonline.com. The American Foundation of Counseling Services Treatment Foster Care program has been a state-licensed child placing agency since 1999. We provide intensive out of home placement for kids that have been victims of abuse or neglect or for kids with delinquency issues. Our therapists and case managers work in each foster home to provide consultation and support to the foster families, schools, and other community providers, ensuring that the children placed quickly achieve a level of stability within the foster home and community. After making progress in our program, most children transition back to their family of origin or into an independent living setting. Learn more about Treatment Foster Care by calling (920) 437-8256. The American Foundation of Counseling Services was established in 1965 by George Kress and Norman Vincent Peale with the original goal of providing training and counseling education to clergy and congregations in Northeastern Wisconsin. We continue that tradition today working closely with the faith community in the area by providing Pastor Leadership Groups, Premarital Counseling Workshops, Marriage Enrichment Seminars, and individual consultation to clergy and church leadership teams. If you would like more information about the services that we provide to congregations and clergy, please call (920) 437-8256.
