Program/Service Description:
The Altrusa House offers patient housing for patients and family that need to stay overnight in Green Bay during a medical emergency. The home is located near Bellin and St. Vincent Hospitals. It offers a safe, caring and interactive environment to guests referred to the home by the local hospitals. Families can cook meals, launder clothes, enjoy television or just relax. There are twelve bedrooms, four of which are handicapped accessible, and a common kitchen and a living room area on each floor. There is no cost to stay but there is a key deposit which will be returned to you when you leave. Families can make arrangements for staying through the contact person at the hospital where they are staying. The hospital personnel call the Altrusa House to check availability. Guests bring the Altrusa House form from the hospital to the house for registration. Rides to the hospitals are not available. Altrusa House serves all four hospitals.
