Program/Service Description:
Information and Assistance (I&A) is a service of the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Brown County and is available to Brown County residents age 60 or older, persons with disabilities, and their families or caregivers. Staff are available for private, confidential consultations by telephone, in the home or at the ADRC. I&A services can range from brief one-time phone contact, to multiple contacts and assistance with connecting to needed services for up to 90 days. Options counseling is another I&A service that includes evaluating long term care options so that older adults and people with disabilities can make informed decisions about their care. Information related to aging, disabilities, caregiving, public and private long-term care funding and services such as home health care agencies, transportation, support groups, nursing homes, Community Based Residential Facilities (CBRF), Residential Care Apartment Complexes (RCAC), apartments and many others is available.
