Program/Service Description:
A Disability Benefit Specialist helps persons with disabilities who are seeking information and/or assistance in obtaining private or government benefits. They help people age 18-59 explore benefits they may be entitled to and explain the process to receive those benefits. They address questions on Medicare options, Medicaid, prescription drug assistance, Social Security benefits, consumer issues, benefit appeals and denials, and other financial assistance related issues.
