Self-Help of Wisconsin
Consisting of three components, Self-Help of Wisconsin, Inc. is a non-profit organization of volunteers that work to prevent crime by promoting positive change through emotional, spiritual and psychological support:

Component I:  Volunteers from Self Help serve offenders in several of the Wisconsin Correctional Institutions by going into prisons with "exercises" which are aimed at "reaching" offenders and offering alternatives to their patterns of criminal thinking behavior.

Component II:  Project Focus, utilizes ex-offenders that have demonstrated the ability to overcome their criminal lifestyles.  These ex-offenders go into high schools, middle schools, detention centers, group homes, etc., and speak to young people about the path they have chosen and where it got them.  Project Focus is a up-close look at the reality of life within the Wisconsin Prison System.

Component III:  Rap-Around Program, facilitates one-on-one interaction between targeted at-risk youth and the ex-offender.  The Rap-Around is supervised by a trained professional.
